At Spirit Horse Ranch, we’re rebuilding lives after the Maui wildfires, one step at a time. Our trauma informed care equine-assisted therapy offer continued healing and hope.
In light of the devastating wildfires on Maui, we have extended our program's scope to encompass all age groups free of charge. We aim to address trauma in a holistic manner, integrating both emotional and physiological aspects of healing. Since August 11, 2023 we have provided over 1,800 sessions to Maui residents to heal form the Maui Fires.

Heal Through Horses: Equine-Assisted Trauma Care for Maui Wildfire Survivors at Spirit Horse Ranch
Have you or someone you love been impacted by the Maui wildfires? Whether directly or indirectly affected, Spirit Horse Ranch offers Equine-Assisted Trauma-Informed Care to help you find peace, connection, and healing in the wake of trauma. We provide a safe haven for survivors—whether you’ve lost your home, witnessed destruction, or are feeling the ripple effects of the wildfires. We believe in whole-person healing, supporting those who need a compassionate, alternative path to recovery.
Together, we will rise, rebuild, and heal.
Our sessions provide a safe, supportive space to process trauma, manage anxiety, and restore hope through the powerful connection with our horses. Our certified facilitators are here to help you learn the tools to find grounding and healing, one step at a time.

Our sessions are free of charge, by appointment only. We are also providing free transportation for the Wednesday 10:30am appointment for those who cannot or are unable to drive.

Our program is a ground-based, non-riding, and confidential Trauma Informed Care Equine Assisted Service (EAS). These services are FREE of charge with 1-hour sessions. Please book a session by clicking the button below. We kindly ask that you please keep your appointment. We are a free program this allows as many as possible to receive the care they need if you cancel last minute it takes away the space from someone who may need healing including you, self care is important and healing is the first step to recovery. We are here to help our community by providing free services for Maui giving the healing care needed as Maui faces continuing challenges. Grief, loss, despair, depression anxiety and mourning, healing is an individual and community process. To help rebuild our communities resilience and the recovery efforts we invite our Maui Ohana to come and learn effective coping tools and to process here at our ranch. We also offer a technique called Brainspotting® to help facilitate healing and trauma recovery.

Our facilitators are trained and certified in various equine-assisted trauma informed care services.
Our small peer groups and individual sessions allow participants a safe space to explore themselves and discover what tools work best for them.
